Chem Eng Graduate Program

History

The Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering (PEQ) of the State University of Maringá (UEM) is a program concentrated in Process Development. Its activities began with a Master's degree created in 1991 and the Doctor's degree  in 2000.  The faculty advisors are professors and lectures from the Department of Chemical Engineering and other departments of the University and also from other institutions collaborating in the development of research projects.

Main goal

The graduate program with the Masters and Doctoral degrees aims to train teachers and lectures, researches and specialized professionals to attend research and technological development related to the chemical engineering and other related areas.

On 12/16/2022, PEQ obtained for the second time a  score of 6 by the CAPES. The maturity and excellence of our graduate program was recognized for the first time with this score by the Quadrennial Postgraduate Assessment, carried out by CAPES, on 09/20/2017.  This excellence is the result of the dedication of the faculty and postgraduate students, which is reflected in more 400  master's dissertations and 250 doctoral theses defended since its creation and implementation of our graduate program.

We thank PEQ’s faculty and graduate students for this achievement!
